A google search may help you to know the locked files.It was the windows firewall in XP that I had to disable. Just find the locked files and exclude them when compressing. Remove it if you do not need or extract it. Type *.ZIP in the search box and it will show you the list of any zipped folders inside it. Just open the main folder and use a simple search. Look for any ZIP folder inside the main folder/project you are trying to compress. So those are protected, you have to first exclude them and it will be done. Some of the developer’s tools/apps have files that are only for developing purposes.
So, the solution is to find the restricted files inside the folder you are trying to compress. So the second probability is possible that the file may have restricted for some reason. At least in my case, I have a folder and another side a ZIP folder created. It is not possible that the file is not there. After two days of finding the solution here, I come with. It is very frustrating when you have a large project and the final moment something hits like that. Then why does it says “File not found or no read permission” on compressing a folder, (creating ZIP folder)? Well, copying or creating a file/folder is very easy.
